Software
A wide range of software and licences are available to you free of charge whilst you are studying at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences. This ensures you are fully equipped for lectures, projects and online events.
You can find an overview of all available software, as well as download links for students, on the university website. There, you can find out more and download the software you need directly.

Zoom
You will be provided with a university licence for Zoom. This means you are not limited to 40 minutes per session and can easily take part in longer meetings and teaching sessions. You can find the link to apply on the IT Service Centre’s page.

Second attempt at exams
important information
Important information regarding retakes:
If you need to retake an exam, you will not automatically be re-registered for it. You must register for the next exam session yourself within the registration period. You should therefore check in good time to ensure that your registration has been successfully processed.

At THWS, there are two handy tools for everyday student life: with ‘Find a Room’, you can search for free rooms to study or work in. On the Infoboard, you can see which lectures are currently taking place and in which room.

Validation machines
Validation machines
At the start of the semester, the THWS Card must be validated at one of the machines in order for it to be valid.

Menstrual products at THWS
Locations
Free period products are available in the ladies’ toilets; you can simply help yourselves to them if you need them. In this way, we hope to ensure that menstruation no longer poses a financial or organisational hurdle in everyday student life.

Summer School
Summer School
At THWS, there are various ways to gain experience abroad, even for shorter periods. Summer schools and other short-term programmes offer you the chance to discover new countries and universities, make international contacts and, at the same time, gain experience that will benefit your studies. This is particularly useful if you’d like to go abroad but don’t want to spend a whole semester there straight away.
